🧩 SEO for Tube Chrome extension — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 October 2026 · Made by Krishna Kundu, Hyderabad, India

What the extension does

It adds a side panel to YouTube Studio (studio.youtube.com) that shows an SEO score for the video you are editing and, when you ask, suggests better titles, a description start, tags and hashtags.

What it reads

• On YouTube Studio's video details page only: the video's title, description and tags as they appear on screen, and the keyword you type in the panel.
• The score is worked out inside your browser — nothing is sent for it.

What it sends, and when

• Only when you press “Better title, tags & description”: the title, description, tags, keyword and chosen language are sent to https://seofortube.com to write suggestions. Each press uses one coin from your SEO for Tube account.
• Your extension key is sent with each request so we know which account it belongs to.

What it stores

• Your extension key and your language choice, in Chrome's extension storage on your computer. Nothing else.

What it never does

• It does not read other websites, your browsing history, passwords, comments, analytics or anything outside the video details page.
• It does not change your video unless you tap a suggestion — and even then nothing is saved on YouTube until you press YouTube Studio's own Save button.
• It does not sell or share your data, use it for advertising, or use it for anything except giving you suggestions.

Removing your data

Remove the extension from Chrome to delete the stored key. Make a new key in SEO for Tube → Profile → Chrome extension to stop the old one working. Our main Privacy Policy explains how your account data is kept and deleted.
